Nominations will be accepted for registered Chilliwack charities only, and must be submitted by an official representative of that charity.
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
Voting will be limited to one (1) vote per day per registered user. If
there is evidence of any unethical voting such as computer generated
voting or setting up additional accounts for the purpose of voting,
contestants may be disqualified.
Voters must me at least 13 years of age.
Charities will be judged by a contest panel and vote totals will be considered in determining a winner.
Englewood Courtyard developers pledge to donate $500 for every unit sold at Englewood Courtyard Platinum 1 building, up to a total of $20,000. The total amount will go to one (1) deserving Chilliwack charity, as chosen in this contest.
Winners will be notified by email or phone. If a winner is unreachable
after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize
fulfillment, an alternate winner may be selected.
The name of the winning charity will be announced at The Englewood Courtyard grand opening in late June, 2013.
The Chilliwack Progress and Englewood Courtyard developers
reserve the right to
substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
The Chilliwack Progress and Englewood Courtyard
reserve the right to
restrict the local winners to only charities whose primary base of operation is
within a 60 km radius of downtown Chilliwack.
Employees of The Chilliwack Progress, Englewood Courtyard developers and immediate family members of each are
not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules
and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on
all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to The Chilliwack Progress, Englewood Courtyard developers
and
Upickem the right to use and publish their chairty, proper name and city
online
and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
The Chilliwack Progress, Englewood Courtyard developers
and Upickem reserve the
right
to use any and all information related to the Contest, including
information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing
purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are
copyright, Upickem, Inc., and/or The Chilliwack Progress. Copying or
unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other
intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner
is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all
Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers,
directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers,
distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or
actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to
persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the
receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
The Chilliwack Progress, Englewood Courtyard developers and Upickem are not
responsible for Internet
crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage,
satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural
disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to winning
notification.
The Chilliwack Progress, Englewood Courtyard developers and Upickem reserve the
right to change the
rules at any time.
